Mackey Arena Construction Notes

The parking lot between Mackey Arena and Lambert FieldHouse ( G-Lot ) will re-open for daily permit parking use by Thursday 9/17/09. Excavation has begun within the footprint of the new Mackey expanded building area, on the North and East side of the original Mackey building. PILE DRIVING will begin on 9/21/09 to create shoring support for the excavation. Expect loud hammering in the construction site area for about 4 weeks. Steve Simmerman (Purdue Athletics) and JR Hudson (Turner Construction) will be presenting detailed Mackey construction updates, and a look into the near future on Sept 29, and Sept. 30. in King Conference Room.
